[ Well, he asked. John can't say he didn't. As to the where, Sylar raises an eyebrow. ]
Because I can die and no one will care.
[ It's not quite as flattering as the way Sherlock was wording it, but hey- at least he's needed for something. And if they figure out something new? He's in. He finishes getting his things situation and flexes his fingers in his gloves. ]
[This is one of the things he appreciates about Gabriel, he's unflinching in the face of his role in this scenario and is willing to take that risk for science.]
I hope that neither of us will die; but yes, if that's the case, you are more expendable than John.
[Murderer versus trained doctor? Even without the sentiment, there's no contest.]
Several people have attempted to stay the night in the morgues before, and most have died. It seems that a person stands a better chance of survival if they are restrained and in a group of more than one. I hypothesise that the deaths are caused by some sort of guard creature which is released after dark, most likely a modified anomaly, and the eye app will work as a deterrent. Combining the three - restraint, group, and app, there's a strong chance that at least one of us will survive to observe exactly how the morgue drawers open and what's inside.
[He nods. It's already something he's thought of after analysing those videos, but it's good that Gabriel is thinking clearly too.]
We'll contact Greg when we're there to see if he can send you a copy of the eye app too, that will give you a better chance of survival. Not to mention that double the apps may confuse and damage the guard further.
[ Sylar nods. It's a good idea. Hopefully there's enough eye apps to go around. ]
We'll test out the effectiveness against the guards, at least. I'm interested to see if it takes the shape of someone familiar. What do you think my 'death price' would be, if I die and come back? Everyone seems to have something.
Hmmm. [ He considers both options. He'd rather lose his eyes, even if he's not doing anything particularly detailed lately. ] Probably the hands, then.
[He knows it has to be something to do with allowing Gabriel to retain detailed control, the losses are usually linked to a person's fears and vulnerabilities.]
Nobody who has willingly killed themselves has remained dead.
[ Sylar nods. So at least he could expect to come back. Despite his occasional impulses to die, he liked existing and was pretty determined to continue doing so.
He doesn't have anything else to ask or add, so he just hefts his pack onto his back and looks towards Sherlock. ]

What's the theory?

You've seen the videos House took from his morgue experiments? The ones that got edited down so they don't break the tablets? [ He's guessing so. ]
You should find a corner, once we're locked in. If I'm front and center, I might distract the guard long enough that it'll leave you alone.
[ He's not harboring any delusions of getting out of this alive. ]

[Certain that his theory will prove constant, at least.]
I should expect your price to be either your hands or eyes.

Why are you sure I'll come back?

Nobody who has willingly killed themselves has remained dead.

I can't decide whether that's a relief, or a cruel trick. [ The slight smile on his face indicates the former. ]

[At least that's his current working theory, there's always the danger he's overlooked that critical one.]
