tried to open the door
tried to chat at andromeda in case she was listening
and it sounds like theres a fucking anomaly on the other side of the door
its quiet now but it was loud as shit and was definitely trying to get through to the other side

Did it start up as you got close, or after you talked about Andromeda? How long did it take to quiet back down?

i have a headache that could kill god so im kind of amazed my skull hasnt split open like a ripe peach in protest
and i dont know if it is an anomaly for sure but i dont know what else it would be

Sounds like it was reacting to what you were saying. So maybe that's a cultist-controlled area? I don't know, maybe we can get someone else to check it out and say Prophet things and it'd go better. But if it is an anomaly, I don't know why it'd react differently than the others.

Anyway- do you have something you can take for your headache? I'm not sure if it's from distortion or whatever, but I've had one of those before and it was the worst.

ive got some aspirin
and its not distortion its just from the noise lasting that long
but theres no cultist symbols or anything here
for all i know its just meant as deterrence from trying to get through the door

But it seems likely there's someone or something still from the cult running around. And one of the places that could be our access to the network- our access to fixing all this- has that happen? It makes me wonder if we're being warned off.

Hey, you never know around here. Maybe a 20 dollar bill with stupid drawings on it will be the solution to some obtuse puzzle or something.

[ He hangs up (as much as one can 'hang up' on a text conversation) and tries to sleep. It doesn't go well, and much of his thoughts are on what exactly happened over there. A half hour before lockdown ends, a text from him pops up again. ]

[Davesprite barely gets much sleep either, even with Karkat and the Cat there with him. It's not the kind of paranoia MN poisonin gave him before, but after all that racket, who could trust things to stay peaceful? If that door opened, they'd have no way to avoid whatever was on the other side, and he only would have so long to throw him at it to try to save the other two...]

[He's half dozing when the message comes, but the ping noise of a new message rouses his attention. He checks the clock. Almost done here, thank fuck.]

Glad it was quiet after that, though. I'll let you go, then. But if you see anyone in the area looking for something to do, would you send them that way? With the appropriate warnings, of course. I'll ask around, too- or just head there myself if we get the time. There's clearly something up, but I'd rather you get the hell out of there. Didn't think I was directing you to a night of no sleep.
