Mm. Both of us have both. Mine is far less awful than his.

[ He's silent for a moment. ] I'm sure we've got fire starting things. We're on our way to the bunker as well. I think. I mostly just follow Alfie's lead.

Oh, yeah?

[ He sounds far too hopeful when he hears that. He really wants to see Alfie and Royce again, he just was too scared it'd be a repeat of last time. ]

If we have enough to get a fire going, I can cook eggs for everyone again. And bacon for everyone other than Alfie. Brought that back from the grocery store.

Although I don't know, I guess we have to worry about the sprinkler system in there? Maybe we have to relocate for hot meals.

[bywolves]

[ Royce is smiling a bit on his end and it might come out in his voice. ]

Yeah. Wouldn't mind seeing you. I'll be less useless this time around. [ As for the rest: ] We'll figure out a way. Might as well make our last days good days.

Yikes, that got dark.

[ Royce can probably hear the grin in his voice, though. What isn't dark in this place? He's probably right. They might as well have some cooked food. ]

I wouldn't mind seeing you either, as it turns out. It'd be good to see with my eyes that you're doing a little better, at least.

There isn't any electricity or fire, Gabriel, it's always dark.

[ ah yes a dad joke ] We can meet up once we're both closer. Alfie would appreciate seeing you.

[ Gabriel groans, hearing that. But he also laughs a bit. ]

Were you always that terrible with jokes, or was Alfie a bad influence on you?

But yeah, that sounds good. Nice. And we don't get a lot of that around here.

Alfie is a bad influence. [ Sure, it's all Alfie's fault. ]

Then I will keep you updated on where we are. We'll find a way to spend the night in the same building, at least for one night.
